lowering the roadway
It is now very apparent how much the existing roadway is being lowered along Parker Avenue. Prior to this project, portions of Parker Avenue had extremely steep cross-slopes. These made it difficult for disabled individuals to cross the street,. The new road surface--constructed at 1-2% cross-slope, will be more comfortable to drive and easier for pedestrians to cross.
